• We CAN stop Invasive mining with people power.

• Annual membership numbers will show OUR creditability.

• No Invasive mining in Sustainable Agricultural, Cropping and grazing Land.

• Mining and Farming cannot co-exist in agricultural areas.

• NEED 2000 plus financial members.

• Committed and active members will be a powerful voice to local, state, federal governments and to the mining companies.

• To lobby local, state, and federal governments.

• By writing letters and submissions to appropriate authorities.

 

Cause and Effects of mine

• Damage to Our water supply.

• Damage to our surface water and underground aquifers will occur.

• Exploration and mining uses huge amounts of water.

• Eyre Peninsula has no surplus water for these exploration and mining companies.

• Contamination will occur to the environment by iron ore and heavy metal dust.

• Contamination will occur to crops, pastures, wool and the food chain.

• The mines and their infrastructure will decimate agricultural land.

 

Health

• Respiratory problems.

• Potential cancers are known legacies for some people in mining areas.

• Mental health is already being affected and will continue to be.

• Intimidation and pressure from exploration and mining companies and governments.

• Years of uncertainty and stress every day. Will it be my property or not?

• Is mining going to eventuate?

• People are not commodities!

• Respect for landowners.

• Social invasion caused by intruding mining companies onto our land.
